Haha, my sister and I were planning on going to the fair to see Corbin Bleu, but we didn't end up going. It was pretty much a joke anyways. (although "Push It" was a pretty good song. I loved watching that music video and Disney Channel 'casue there was some sweet dancing, and his Afro bounced around a lot...)

I'm pretty glad that I didn't go spend a few hours of my life surrounded by 11 year olds though. Although I would have had a bunch of time to read The Bourne Ultimatum.... hm...

Anyways! I got my housing assignments for college today. Now I just gotta work up the courage to call my roommate. I'm actually kinda hoping she will call me first, but I know it's ridiculous to always hope for others to take the first step. So maybe tomorrow I'll take the initiative and call her. What's the worst that could happen, right?

Oh, and to make this post even more completely random, I got this wonderful idea for a short story. I hardly write, and I don't consider myself that talented, but the idea just came to me so I think I'll try it out :D

Ha, I love how every action movie on IMDb has at least one discussion board post that's "Who would win in a fight? Jason Bourne or *name of main character*"

Pshaw. Jason Bourne would win every time.

Oh, and Back to the Future is such a cool movie. And posting about Jason Bourne has made me all giddy. I love that man. It's kind of ridiculous actually.

Carlyn from work has found this new hobby called Geocaching, and it sounds pretty fun! She said she might be doing it tomorrow, and she'll take me out with her if she does, so I'm pretty excited!

Also, I can't wait for college to start! I'm not excited to be leaving my family, 'cause I'll miss them all, but I'm excited for my classes!

Here are my classes!:
Web & Digital Media Development 100: Introduction to design techniques
Web & Digital Media Development 110/111: Introduction to object-oriented programming
French 313: Intermediate Conversation
History 237: Europe after 1500
Health and Wellness ??? (I forgot...): Nutrition and stuff

I also looked into the study abroad programs, and there is one for going to a university in Cae,n France for a semester, and that sounds pretty sweet. It'll be quite a bit of money, but I think that it would be worth it. Everyone I've talked to has said that they think I'll regret not going if I pass it up, so I have to keep that in mind.

Oh, and I'm reading The Bourne Ultimatum, and it's soooo awesome. Words can't even begin to explain the awsomesness that nearly oozes from that book.

I'm so glad. I was worried because I turned in my application rather late, I don't have a reason to worry now though.

"The most notable news of the night was the revelation of Dumbledore's sexuality. Jo says Dumbledore was gay and in love with Gellert Grindelwald. JK, in response to the audience's reaction, said "If I had known this would have made you so happy, I would have told you years ago."" (from mugglenet)

This isn't a joke. I'm being serious. At a recent book reading JKR responded to the question asking if Dumbledore had ever found love.

I was reading something else from HPANA that said JK Rowling was reading the movie script for HBP and crossed out a whole passage about Dumbldore reminiscing about a past (female) love, writing "Dumbledore is gay" in the margin.

I think it's great that she would say this without caring about any backlash it may cause from the people who already think she is horrible for writing about witchcraft. Not that JKR should be thinking about what those people think, but sadly I think some of fans may stop reading Harry Potter for this.

What really bothered me were some of the comments people were making on the post. Like these:

umm...i guess i now understand why dumbledore spent so much time with harry alone in his office....

It has to be a joke. The Harry Potter fandom would have been much smaller otherwise. Personally, I would not have read and loved the series if one of the main characters had been gay. What kind of "children's book" would that be? That type of "lifestyle" may be acceptable in Britain, but its not viewed so favorably everywhere (like the entire Southern United States). While there are exceptions here, they are the extreme minority.

Although there were an equal number of comments by people who thought it was great.

The fact that he's gay shouldn't have anything to do with the story being read to young children. Seeing as she never mentions once in any of the books what his sexuality is you wouldn't ever need to tell younger kids until they're older and can understand those sorts of things. So what is the big deal? Jo is an author who has clearly made some very well developed characters and isn't afraid to set limits just to please people with certain beliefs and I applaud her for that.

So yeah, I think I may have to go back and reread parts of HBP. At least the parts about Dmubledore and Grindelwald. I'm sure she put in something that make it obvious. Personally, I think it's very sweet.

During AP Psych we're learning about the Cognitive something or others established by Jean Piaget. Well, anyways, we were having a toy lab where we went around to different stations, played with some toys and put them into groups based on what age the person who played with it would be.

One of the stations happened to have some toy dinosaurs. My group had already been to that station, and were at the station right next to that one. Well, Kaylee Cullen who I had always thought of as a smart girl (she get all A's, she's in several AP classes and she's the president of our student council no less) said "I'm not sure if I really believe in dinosaurs."

When I heard her say that I laughed a little, because I thought it was a joke. She was being completely serious, I kid you not. How can someone not believe in dinosaurs? Seriously. Then she goes on to say that she thinks that people are just exaggerating how much some rocks look like animals. Come on. Scientists know they're bones. They can carbon date these bone to tell how old they are.

People like her make me worry. Sure, it's cool that she would state an opinion not held by most other people, but she could at least choose something... well, something that doesn't make her look dumb.

Eh, I think I'm going to change my layout. I mean I like the one I have now and everything, but I'm becoming bored of it...

Yeah, to night I went to Maggie's restaurant for her birthday. Sam, Angie, Frederica, and this other girl, I like her but i forgot her name ^_^;;

Well, we ate at the restaurant then we all went to Wal-Mart, because Frederica had to get some candy for the Homecoming parade. Anyways, we were being rowdy and loud, and laughing, and it was a lot of fun.

I hardly hang out with anyone anymore, (seriously I'm so anti-social it's not even funny -_-) I forgot how fun it was to actually be around people. I kind of felt a little out of place though, since they all hang out all of the time. I like them all and we all sit together at lunch, but it's not like we're best friends or anything. I'd like to hang out with them more, but I feel like I'd be intruding, or they'd say I could hang out with them just to be nice, and I don't want that.

I'd like to actually just socialize more, but I don't really have that many friends. Not that I'm complaining. I mean of course there's Angie, but she's always hanging out with everyone else. Melony, you're all the way in Whitewater most of the time. And I haven't talked to Monica in ages. Those are seriously the only people I would count as friends.

It's actually rather hard for me to make friends though. I hardly have anything in common with most people, and I have a hard time sharing anything about my personal life. So it's difficult for me to make more friends. Not that I'm actually trying to.

Haha, just some things I was thinking about. I'm going to go change my layout now~

If you can't tell I finally moved all my TCGs here. Sorry for the numerous entries, but that;s how it goes.

It's much less hassle to update them here, plus I totally am sucking at making a layout right now and I don't have to worry about a layout if my cards are on lj.

Well, I've got to go to sleep now, sorry.

Yay! Third Stage shipped my order yesterday so I should get it sometime soon. I also (on a random impulse) ordered a Welle:Erdball album.

I kind of felt like it was super cheap because it was a full-length album (18 tracks) for only $15. XD That's how jrock has warped my perception of cost. Anyways, I ordered it from Amazon, where I got a month of free 2 day shipping, so I'll be getting that on Wednesday.

If you don't know Welle:Erdball is a bitpop band (I think, I don't have the whole genre thing down with this kind of music XD). They are pretty sweet. I only have 3 songs by them and I couldn't find anywhere to download more songs online, so I just decided to buy something of theirs.

I just ordered 4 or 5 things from Third Stage. I really couldn't help it >_< I just got LM.C's Oh My Juliet single (I ordered my sister a book from Amazon and I wanted free shipping so I got myself something too...), and I HAD to order more.

It's like an addiction. Seriously. It goes away for a while then as soon as you start again you just can't stop.

Anyways, I ordered 2 Jelly singles, Lose by Vizell, and Precious by D'AIR. Now that I think about it, that may be the oddest combination of music I've ever ordered.

Also (not that anyone actually reads my journal), if you like online TCGs, you should go join mine! Japanese Heroes

It's all about Jrock, and I don't mind a little shameless self-advertising. Plus, I love these darn TCGs. They really are a lot of fun.
